A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away, we adopted a semi-feral cat. We had our reasons: our pre-existing tomcat had just lost his companion and was feeling lonely and needy. And we needed a new companion who wouldn’t compete with him for our attention. So when a friend told us about Tilapia, she seemed perfect! For the first six months we had her, she lived in the lining under our couch and only came out to play with our other cat after we’d gone to bed.
For a long time they were totally in sync.
We tried not to take the fact that she thought we were out to kill her too personally. We just accepted her for who she was and didn’t ask too much of her..

But over time, things began to change. After our other cat died, we realized that she actually wanted to get to know us better. And in only 12 short years, she went from being our shy little tuna to a complete attention-hog! Last year, when Rob was away in Yellowstone for the summer, I started bringing her to the trailer and she loved it. So when we started planning this trip, we knew she had to come along!

As you can see, our little Trailer Cat has made herself right at home!
